Notpla Signals Functionality

Congratulations on the successful installation of Notpla Signals.

Thanks for kindly using this ✨ alpha version - ie. the main "search-and-summarise" function of the app is now LIVE.

This means that the app is ready to distill links and articles, prioritise them and give the top five takeaways of each - all within a Slack channel.

Bear in mind that Notpla Signals needs to be present within a Slack channel.
(nb. the app/bot does not read messages like actual users but it only starts on command)

See the first 45 seconds of the below video on how to add the app to specific channels in Slack.

(Repeating the above instructions in an article format below, if you prefer a text/written version)

Usage

To get started, firstly have the bot Notpla Signals in the channel that you want it to work on.

Adding to channel
For example if you want it to be in the #business channel, then add it by first tagging the bot with the @Notpla Signals command in the chat textbox.

Click your bot and it should ask for your permission to be added to the channel

Bot Interface

Slash commands (/command)
These are the specific bot commands that will get it to do some work. Call these by starting your chat with a forward slash, followed by the command.

💡
Currently the only main command is :
/analyse

This categorises links from your specified timeframe. To use it, type the above with the slash into the chat.

The /analyse command should open up a menu as below.
Please choose how long back it will look back to synthesis info. (Currently, it works with all links leading to articles, news, and sites that are open and text based)

Hope this speeds things up.
And once again, thanks for checking out this alpha version ✨

Would appreciate a feedback on whether this works for your workflow and adapt or tweak the core function to better reflect a competitor analysis.
